I spent most of the 17 years in and out of higher education. Eleven of those years were invested in taking classes and looking for titles. In the process of having to read many books and articles that do not really have time to read, I began to wonder: “Is there a more effective way to do this?” As many of you, I had a life outside of academia. I had a family, work, responsibilities, and the desire to enjoy a portion of each week. The reading was necessary, but it was not something I’ve always enjoyed. One day, while sitting in my cubicle in the library, I looked at the three stacks of books that had accumulated. These books represent the literature precedent that had to review before writing my thesis. As the days passed, the piles of books grew – I was adding books faster than I could review them! I was frustrated and ready to give up.
It was then that I began to develop the basic concepts that have resulted in the Quickr method. This is what I found. Even if I went for each book page by page, my retention rate was not as great. So if I was not going to process everything, there is no effective way to do it? By using the method of Quickr, not only to process the content, but ends with a one-page summary of the main points of the text. The process works in books, chapters and articles.
Basically, the five-step process: 1. Define the content. You should know what the book, chapter or article in question. 2. Looking ahead. Review the introductory material to determine the author of the text map. 3. Digital Cameras has plenty of information regarding this issue. Look back. Review the summary of material and identify key terms and concepts. 4. Take note. Scan the entire text to locate and read about the key terms and concepts. 5. Summarize. When you can put in your own words the main points of the text, have a basic knowledge of the contents. Does this process work? I’ve had students tell me that this process is one of the best things they have learned throughout their academic career. Others have thanked me for the hundreds of hours you have saved. You can do that too … It is very easy … fun … and makes you a more efficient student. Give it a try!

During the night of 30 July 198 …, Vespasian Spleen had a dream. In a solitary place he heard the strange name of Zeno of Elea. Then, under the shade of a crowd of passing clouds, felt the irresistible desire to jump. He did. Fell with speed. Nothing could be seen while immersed in this downturn.
